Freedom is not a matter of course ...

May 5, 1945 is the day of liberation and with it the day of new agreements and self-imposed limitations. After May 5, 1945 it has continued to build an intricate system of liberating appointments. Agreements that restrict us, but make development possible. The prosperity of today is a product of the self-imposed limitations of time.

Liberation Day is a time to reflect on agreements that guarantee our freedom. Not to forget, these agreements are necessary to maintain and update them. Appointments give the ability to do, but it will also leave. They offer space, but are also limiting. They remove barriers, but also shed new boundaries. Freedom is reciprocal. It is not something, it's something people do together. Appointments help. Also - or rather - as appointments sometimes get in the way.
