GOZATU ETA......

Museo Guggenheim Bilbao, Basque Country of Spain is one of the four Guggenheim musea in the world that represents modern and comtemporary art. The Guggenheim in Bilbao is designed by the Canadian-American architect Frank Gehry. And it's one of the most spectacular buildings I've ever seen. If you're still planning your vacation and/or a citytrip then please pay a visit to Bilbao in the Basque Country of Spain. For a long stay I suggest you'd stay in beautiful and wonderful city San Sebastián also known as Donostia (in Euskara the ancestral language of the Basque people). Great people, buildings, food, surfing spots and endless walks . I'm still saving money for an apartment...

Romados

Sorry for my vegetarian buddies, I had to take this shot. This was taken at Romados (yeah, if you haven't been to that chicken place, you haven't truly tasted the glories of chicken) before their small accident. It's located on the plateau and one of the cooks took a dive into his master piece and I happend to be passing by. Hope they get back on their feet soon!

Mother's Day Proclamation!

Mother's Day continues to be a very commercial holiday. It's a day that is used by children and husbands/partners to honor mothers and grandmothers for all that they do in raising children. Mother's Day is celebrated in the whole world in many different ways.
I'm not a fan of calender days but I allways found Mother's Day needed, especially to whom who think that what mother's do is a matter of course. Being a mom--working mom, stay-at-home mom, fill-in-the-blank mom--is not something that should be ignored.
Fun "Fact" to read about Mother's Day http://antiwar.com/blog/2011/05/06/mothers-day-proclamation/

Train track crossing

A part of a popular crossing between 2 neighborhoods. Citizens are trying since long time to get the fence down and be able to cross freely without risking $150 fine.

Freedom is not a matter of course ...

May 5, 1945 is the day of liberation and with it the day of new agreements and self-imposed limitations. After May 5, 1945 it has continued to build an intricate system of liberating appointments. Agreements that restrict us, but make development possible. The prosperity of today is a product of the self-imposed limitations of time.

Liberation Day is a time to reflect on agreements that guarantee our freedom. Not to forget, these agreements are necessary to maintain and update them. Appointments give the ability to do, but it will also leave. They offer space, but are also limiting. They remove barriers, but also shed new boundaries. Freedom is reciprocal. It is not something, it's something people do together. Appointments help. Also - or rather - as appointments sometimes get in the way.
